He still is a favorite.

Tuscan Hideaway, Tuscany

House/shed in the fields to store tools and often used as a rustic family get-away.

Jazz!

A unique multi-media collaborative piece  incorporating raku pieces, jewelry on a painted wood board.

Petite #2

A mini mixed media displayed on painted wood board.
Shapes, colors, fun! Nice displayed in series!

Petite Pumpkins

For the fun of it, I am painting a series of "petite" mini-paintings, a good match for recession bugdets! Each one an original, never duplicated.   w

Colors of Tuscany

The fields, the hills, the cypresses always...the essence of Tuscany!

Sunset on the Zambezi

This sunset could be anywhere, but I worked from a photo taken while on a Sunday "cruise" on the Zambezi river where local families spend some relaxing time as the old boat tugs along the banks of the river searching for wildlife.

Maine Salt Marshes

Autumn: my favorite season! Autumn colors: my favorite palette!

Earth and Sky

Nature simple!

"Toucy"

Nestled in the hills of Burgundy in a small hamlet close to Toucy,
a beloved week-end retreat then, a permanent home today.

Remembering Anele

On a visit to Victoria Falls, we stayed at the Grand Victoria Hotel in Zimbabwe where Anele was the receptionist; she put on her local attire for a profile photo for me. Due to the terrible political regime and economic state of affairs of the country, so far I have not been able to get in touch with her.

Springtime

Impression of Spring rendered in delicate pastel color hues..

In Sermonetta, Italy

.

Remembering the narrow and dark cobblestones streets on a walk up up and down the village.

Easter in Spello, Umbria

The store owner in this charming fortified medieval city is preparing for the season. At Easter time, local artists display create a painting for each station of the cross which are displayed in the open air at different locations within the village. (See a posting separately)

Feria

Bright yellow, orange, green, pink and blue... exhuberant sunflowers! Summer is here at last.

One Water Lily #2

Every so often I need to paint another water lily...An overdose of Monet? A need for calm and beauty?

Nature's Patchwork

This quilt on canvas  reflects my love of geometric patterns and colors. Imagine flying over farm fields and filling each square with imagined colors.

Dream Pieces

Chaos - pink?
Quiet moments - blue?
Hope always?

Qu'est-ce que c'est?

What is it? The viewer can decide.
In this piece my brush was decided where to go
as my thoughts flowed like a river through the fields.

Fruit and Tulips

Inspired by a favorite fruit bowl and spring bouquet, color and shapes guided me to create this modern rendition of a classic still life.

Big Blue

Morning in the Park

While living in Paris, we spent many Sunday mornings strolling in the beautiful Parc de St. Cloud. A perfect moment to sit and just comtemplate. More on this beautiful Parc in the painting "Le Parc de St. Cloud".
